Being a biology major, I wanted to learn as much as I could about different kinds of life forms. I had already learned a little bit about different kinds of organisms, but it was limited to the classroom. Therefore, I decided to take this marine field ecology course so I could have more hands on experience with different kind of marine life in their own domain rather than viewing them on exhibit at an aquarium. Through this class, I got the chance to see animals like turtles, dolphins, and nurse sharks. The whole experience was just mesmerizing. Professor Vagelli was great and very helpful. His labs were very interesting where I got the chance to dissect a fish. I would say anyone who wants to learn more about different kinds of organisms and their habitats should take this class and at the same time have a good time in the Florida Keys.
